Our journey

From a Dong Anh machine shop to a 220kV transformer maker

  1. 2012 – The journey begins

    On 13 December 2012, Dong Anh Manufacturing Electrical Equipment JSC (DONGANHMEE) was founded in Dong Anh town, Hanoi, marking its first step into electrical equipment manufacturing.

  2. 2014 – Factory No. 1 opens

    Factory No. 1 was built on 4,000m² in Dong Anh, producing mechanical components for the power sector and laying the foundation for transformer manufacturing.

  3. 2016 – Factory No. 2 opens

    Factory No. 2 opened in Nhon Trach 3 Industrial Park, Dong Nai, dedicated to 110kV–220kV transmission transformers. It also houses the company's ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory (VILAS 1247).

  4. 2017 – ASTA short-circuit certificate

    A 63MVA – 115/23kV transformer passed short-circuit withstand tests (10 Oct – 2 Nov 2017) and received Intertek ASTA Certificate No. 21488 under IEC 60076-5.

  5. 2018 – Joins GELEX Group

    The company joined GELEX Group, opening a new phase of investment in manufacturing capacity and brand development in the power sector.

  6. 2019 – 220kV short-circuit test

    A 220kV – 250MVA autotransformer was built and passed short-circuit withstand tests (Dec 2019 – Apr 2020, Intertek ASTA-TYPE-000181) – a major technological milestone. The same year, the company laboratory was accredited as VILAS 1247 (18 Oct 2019).

  7. 2023 – Rebranding to MEEPOWER

    From 18 July 2023, the company was officially renamed MEE Power Transformer Manufacturing JSC (MEEPOWER), affirming a new vision and a commitment to sustainable growth.

  8. 2024 – A 110kV market leader

    MEEPOWER became one of Vietnam’s leading transmission transformer makers and one of the leaders of the national 110kV transformer market. In 2024 the company was also certified to ISO 9001:2015 and TCVN 6306-1:2015 (IEC 60076-1:2011).

  9. 2025 – 220kV – 250MVA units in service

    Two 220kV – 250MVA transformers were energized at Binh Tan 220kV substation and accepted by Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation, proving international-standard capability.

  10. 2026 – Type tests at HVLAB

    A 250/250/50MVA – 225/115/23kV transformer was tested at the Key Laboratory for High Voltage Techniques (HVLAB – Institute of Energy) to IEEE C57.152 and IEC 60076-1/-3/-10/-18, passing all items.
