Transformers are MEEPOWER’s core product. Manufacturing uses imported materials – silicon steel, transformer oil, magnet wire and tap changers – from leading specialist brands.
Magnetic core:
The core is made from 0.23mm cold-rolled electrical steel on slitting and cut-to-length lines. Laminations are slit and mitre-cut to reduce losses, and burr height is always kept within limits.
Windings:
Windings are made from magnet wire (uniform-quality M1 copper) and insulating paper, wound on automatic machines. Depending on rating and design, windings are concentric or disc type, always ensuring good oil flow and cooling.
Tank:
Open (conservator) type: the tank is fabricated from steel with automatic welding and powder coating. Hermetically sealed type: the tank body and corrugated fins expand as the internal temperature rises. Tanks are pressure-tested before and after oil filling. For intermediate transformers, radiators are detachable for easy transport; butterfly and drain valves are imported and easy to operate; tank structures and fittings are highly standardised.
Voltage regulation:
The tap changer is a key accessory used frequently in operation and has a significant effect on product quality. It is selected and fitted to match the current and voltage, and is tested closely from active-part assembly through to factory release.
