On 15 July 2025, MEE Power Transformer Manufacturing JSC (MEEPOWER) worked with units of Southern Power Corporation to successfully energize a 110kV transformer at Hoa Binh Industrial Park substation, Cho Moi, An Giang, putting it into safe and stable operation on the national transmission grid.
🛠 Technical data:
- Type: three-phase transmission transformer
- Voltage: 110/22kV
- Rating: 63MVA
- Standards: IEC & TCVN for industrial electrical equipment
The event marks an important milestone in completing the regional grid, helping to:
- Strengthen continuous, stable supply for the area;
- Relieve neighbouring substations;
- Support connection of new power sources in the future;
- Improve the reliability of the national power system;
- Drive the socio-economic development of Cho Moi district and surrounding areas.
The transformer was installed on schedule, meeting strict technical standards of Safety – Quality – Efficiency.
To energize on time, MEEPOWER’s engineers, technical staff and workers worked continuously in close coordination with Southern Power Corporation units – the Southern Power Project Management Board and PC An Giang – for acceptance and system dispatch.
Successfully energizing the transformer is not only a technical achievement but also reflects the responsibility and effective cooperation of all parties – a foundation for future energy projects.
MEEPOWER continues to affirm its position in Vietnam’s electrical equipment industry, supporting the national grid on the country’s path of industrialisation and modernisation.
This July, MEEPOWER proudly marked a major step forward by energizing five 110kV substations equipped with three-phase 63MVA transformers from north to south. Completed on schedule with high quality and reliability, these projects confirm our technical capability and commitment to the national grid.
MEEPOWER is also urgently installing three more 63MVA transformers, expected to be completed before the end of the month. This underlines the company’s pioneering role in supplying large-scale transmission equipment, helping modernise Vietnam’s power system and serve socio-economic development.
