At Xekaman 3 hydropower plant in Dak Chung district, Sekong province, Lao PDR, Dong Anh Manufacturing Electrical Equipment JSC (DONGANHMEE) recently worked with Xekaman 3 Power Co., Ltd. and the parties involved to successfully energize and commission 3 transformers of Unit 1, under the contract package for repair, restoration and supply of materials for the main transformers of Xekaman 3 hydropower project.
The mobile vapour-phase vacuum drying system – an exclusive solution built by DONGANHMEE itself and the only one of its kind on the market – made a major contribution to the repair: cutting repair time by 30% and repair cost by 25%, and avoiding the risks of transporting the transformers to the factory and back to the substation. The drying unit adapts quickly to any site condition and terrain, delivering repair quality well above traditional drying methods.
